My goal as a teacher is to improve the student's understanding and enjoyment of music by showing the student the techniques and concepts related to playing the piano. I hope that by studying the piano, the student becomes more aware of the inner workings of music in general and thus derives greater pleasure and meaning from listening as well as playing.
